It was a very imposing performance hall with quaint aspects to the decor. The clientele was dominated by a homogenous demographic and socio-economic background, but this is not the venue's fault. The cafe was lacking any hot drinks due to the lateness of the performance interval but the ice cream in the concourse compensated very well. I would have liked to have seen the pianist page turner get an applause but this position was not afforded this opportunity. I followed up with an email which was responded to very well, acknowledging that this isnt part of the protocol, but the gratitude would be relayed onto the page turner. All in all, a satisfying evening, especially if you want to do something different with a casual classical musical performance.
