Today my daughter and son-in-law were treated to a high tea at Castle Maurik. What a beautiful location, everything neatly made corona proof according to Rivm rules. And what a special high tea. To start with a white wine and an appetizer.
Then a 5 Yr ripened tea in jute bags that was served in wine glasses. With a delicious asparagus soup.
Followed by 3 sandwiches. A warm small sausage roll with asparagus, a brown roll with salmon and a roll with zucchini and humus some small additions. Finally, an etagere with all kinds of delicious sweet things. To lick your fingers. And yet another flavor of tea. Green tea with a floral taste.
Highly recommended. Very neat and friendly staff.
I loved being outside. But the people who were cold got a blanket and sometimes even a heater. What a prime location.
