We had a horrible experience here. I'd always hear...

We had a horrible experience here. I'd always heard good things about Lord Chamberlain so naturally, we chose the facility based on what we'd heard. My husband was there for 11 days. Every day, he called me with ostomy emergencies (new to us due to emergency surgery). By the time I arrived, the nurse hadn't even been to his room- they would shut off the call so they could ignore him. On average, the nurse showed up an HR after the first call button was pressed. The nurse's are stretched very very thin and they are obviously miserable working there. One nurse told me she'd already spent enough time with him that morning and 'absolutely could not go back in there'. We really needed help that day. The nurse came in the next day and in front of my husband's visitor, told my husband that we were going to 'make her get written up'. His care was compromised even more after that. Overall, in my opinion, it's a dangerous place to be for surgery rehab as well as filthy and understaffed. Flies constantly flew around my husband's room on top of everything else. If you want your loved one to be cared for appropriately, please save yourself a multitude of heartache and go somewhere else, anywhere else. The day after I picked him up from Lord Chamberlain, he spent 3 days in the hospital recovering from kidney failure, which was part of the reason we'd gone to L.C. in the first place. Horrible staff, horrible food, horrible admins who pass the buck constantly and overall, horrible experience. We're lucky he survived.
