Wendy Stavinoha Review of Houston Hospice

My beloved husband, whom thankfully we moved to Houston Hospice when he was in his final days in a coma, was treated like royalty. He was treated with the utmost dignity and respect, as though he were alive and visiting for dinner with staff. He was reverently handled and kept pain and anxiety free, clean and sweet-smelling, and spoken to with grace and gentleness, even though he was in a coma.
As his wife, along with family, I was ALSO treated with dignity and respect--and hugs and reassurance from the staff. I was allowed all the time I wanted when the end came, up to and including closing the door and telling me that when I was READY, they would take the next step. Oh, how I appreciated that!
The premises are spotless, comfortable, and arranged for the comfort of the families as well as the dying person. I have already changed my last wishes so that I can end my own life at Houston Hospice. I cannot say enough good things about it; I do not have the words.
