I usually don't like writing negative reviews, but I am so deeply disappointed on the service my wife and I received from Lexus of Kendall on May 14, 2019.
We had called to get maintenance on our 2018 Lexus NX300 and also get the A/C checked, since it was emitting a musty odor every time we turned it on. Aside from regular maintenance, we were told that they recommended we change the air filter (for $93.69), which we did, but that was not enough!
They recommended we spend another $200+ in order to do a more complete a/c system cleansing. We were also told that the musty smell came from dried up leaves stuck in the vents below the windshield. However, our car is parked in a garage at home and under a canopy at work! The technician told my wife when she went to pick up the car, that there was nothing they could really do, just avoid parking under trees!
We tried to reach Lexus directly, but said that this was not a defect. They were not helpful at all. We find it ridiculous to have to spend almost $300 to get an a/c system overhaul and hope that it might help, but not guaranteed.
In the meantime, my wife has an auto immune disease and this musty, mildew smell affects her health. I don't plan to renew my lease after this situation. This has never happened with any other car we have used. This is unheard of! Very disappointed with Lexus. Can't wait to be finished with this lease.
