I definitely recommend the Sheppard to anyone visiting Clearwater who doesn't want to want to go out or walk a lot. It has a bunch of restaurants and bars, a nightclub, live entertainment during the day and night, gift shops, pool area and beach right at the front. There's some other places to eat and some gift shops near the resort as well. For all the services available, the price is definitely worth it. The staff was very friendly from the moment we arrived. Valet service is complimentary and cars are parked in a parking garage so your car will be cool when you want to take it out during the day. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bar closest to the water ski rental shop absolutely sucked. We sat at a table near some people that already had drinks and food but we had to ask for service twice and get menus ourselves which was ridiculous. The server just kept talking to the bartender as if she had nothing to do. If you want good service, go to the bar closest to the stage, there's a tequila bar right next to it too. The bar by the pool side also has really good frozen drinks. I would recommend the lava flow or blue (something) lemonade. Overall, I had a really good experience here.
