Review of Antioch Toyota

We leased a vehicle on August 6th and made 4 calls to the financial lender to get our account number so we can make a payment. Every single time, it was the same answer. "We don't have any record of the lease" and "sometimes it can take up to 40 days to process everything". Well, after 2 1/2 months of driving around, the woman from Toyota Financial suggested to call Antioch Toyota to see what's going on. 10 minutes later, she tells me that there was some paperwork she was waiting on and that everything should be squared away in a few days.

I got a call from the finance woman, Tatiana on a Friday, and she tells me that there was an error on the "money factor" and that I had to come in asap to resign the revised contract. After hearing that I wasn't able to come in over the weekend, she began to berate me and say it is my responsibility to make the payments (without a lender) and that my car will get repossessed and my credit affected. She also kept saying that I should return the car, no questions asked if I couldn't come on the weekend and that is when I'd finally had it.

I made it there that Sunday evening and returned the car to Steve Peralta, the Sales manager, who's wonderful and was completely appalled at my story and couldn't apologize enough for my experience.

Later that week on Tuesday, I talked to the GM, Don, whom was also very apologetic and asked if he can fix everything, I told him I still needed a car and was willing to give them a second chance, so he said he was going to have a sales rep contact me the following day.

I received no call Wednesday.

Nothing Thursday.

On Friday, I'd decided it was long enough and called Don, who immediately took responsibility for dropping the ball (he forgot to have the original sales rep call me) and that he will make sure I not only get taken care of but I get a screaming deal, so I decided to give them a third chance (3rd time's a charm, right?).

Finally talked to the sales rep, Jim, who's an honest to goodness great guy, but unfortunately, all he kept talking about was how the rebates weren't as good as they originally were as last time and that I'd end up paying more for the exact same car.

Rebate? That's the "screaming deal" I was offered? A credit from the MANUFACTURER. And on top of that, the rebate wasn't as good as before.

They never offered to take a hit on one lousy car to fix the nightmare of a screw up that I experienced, and for that, they deserve zero stars; unfortunately, 1 star is the lowest I can give.
