Overall we really enjoyed this hotel. We took a shuttle bus from LAX to get close to the hotel but it was still a little bit of a hike down the street with all of our luggage. Wouldn t take that again. When we got to the entrance the lobby was packed with people in tuxedos and ballroom gowns. We found out they were having a NAACP Award event in the hotel. We had to laugh because we were all in comfy clothes for a day of traveling and looked super out of place. The staff was still nice to us in our sweats. Lol. The kids loved the pool here. There was a nice bar by the pool with tasty drinks. The Hollywood sign can be seen in the distance from the pool area. The beds were comfy. The housekeeping was good. The security seemed a little overkill to us but we heard that some famous people like to stay there so maybe that s why. The Chinese Theatre is super close. A lot of touristy stuff is in walking distance. The biggest flaw is that the address didn t always come up correctly in GPS and almost every Lyft/Uber we called had an issue picking us up or dropping us off. Most went to the back of the hotel. Not sure why but it got pretty annoying.
