Jaw Surgery Consultation w/ Dr. Walline

The front desk was awesome, courteous and organized. When I arrived, my appointment began almost immediately.

Dr. Walline was phenomenal; his warm and friendly demeanor put me at ease. He first introduced himself and began asking questions to help him understand my needs and perspective. After, he took precise measurements of my face using lasers and created a potential treatment plan. This is where Dr. Walline impressed me the most. He carefully explained to me, given my specific situation, that I was within MY equal right to either elect having surgery or not. He also did not try to "upsell" me on additional treatment and was happy to explain that I would not require lower jaw surgery or a genioplasty. Even better, he also mentioned that my specific case would not require braces or invisalign before, during OR after the surgery (literally saving me thousands in time and money off the top). EVERY other doctor's office I had called emphatically told me that no matter what the situation, I would require braces due to the outdated surgical methods they employ. Dr. Walline and LACOMS are truly on the cutting edge of orthognathic surgery! After, Dr. Walline again emphasized that surgery was my choice and that he was there to provide any additional information and clarification that would help me. He truly had my best interest in mind; I appreciated his candor and elected to move forward with the surgery.

Jacquie Wiltshire, the treatment coordinator, met with me after my consultation to go over details such as cost and scheduling. In most offices, the treatment coordinator will try to push you into a "sale" before you walk out the door. My experience with Jacquie was the exact opposite. She was consultative, warm, and genial. She took the time to understand my financial situation and then discussed various methods of payment that would best fit me. After we finished talking, she gave me her business card along with a folder that contained all the information we went over.

Since then, Jacquie has served as my point of contact for the office. She is highly accessible; I have been able to speak with her every time I called. She is more than happy to answer any questions I didn't have initially. I could not imagine a better treatment coordinator to be working with, I really feel as though she is my personal advocate, which is the best thing any patient could hope!

In summary, LACOMS employs the best at all levels of their business and it really shows. I could not imagine trusting my jaw with any other doctor or facility. Thank you for allowing me to be a patient here, it truly feels like an honor and privilege.
