Rockywoods Fabrics has been in business for over 25 years, and we are still going strong. It came to our attention this past Monday, February 24th, that Yelp showed Rockywoods Fabrics as being permanently closed. We called Yelp that Monday to have it corrected. Tuesday, Yelp corrected the issue and showed us as being open again.

This morning, February 27th, we received another notification from Yelp, yet again saying our business has been determined to be closed. While on the phone with them, they could not give us a reason for their error, but they fixed it, again.

While pushing to get more answers from Yelp in order to keep this from happening again, we were told that to speak to anyone at Yelp, other than in sales, we would need to have an account manager. In other words, we would need to pay them. Sure enough, no sooner than Yelp hanging up on us, they once again acted like the thugs they are and changed our business to being permanently closed again.

We feel this is a clear case of racketeering by a business. Yelp has created a problem for us with the intention of extorting money to fix that very problem. They are no different than the mob going from business to business collecting money for protection.
