I had the worst experience with this university. Their administration is THE worst and slowest and the most inefficient. If you want them to process something, good luck, you are waiting for anywhere between four to six months (that is when you are lucky). The campus was built from a jail- anybody can tell but they all pretend that they still love it. I am just not sure why the university cannot hire smarter people? Then I kind of get the answer...they don't have money, and their administration is working at a salary of 20k a year. At this range, who do you think you will attract other than the worst? Also do people ever get a realistic parking spot in the parking lots? No, because they are under construction all the time. People often say that UMass-Boston is the ugly sister of UMass-Amherst. So true. Not that UMass-Amherst is that good (it is in the middle of nowhere), but that UMass-Boston is really a ugly nasty place. Do not either go to or work for this place. Make an investment of your money and time somewhere else.
