He gave me a quote of $8,500. I negotiated to $8,000. During lunch (with my head bloodied from him stabbing the heck out of it to plant the graphs) he explained that he majically came up with 500 graphs and that he would throw them away if i did not purchase them. His charge $1,500. I found out later from not one but two other opinions that what he does is you see.. and im getting ahead of myself and before i explain, the donor area has the most density. You will have the most 2s and 3s per grafts, meaning strands per graft. What this "doc" does is he splits the grafts and sells them back to you. What you lose is money and most importantly density. All he leaves you with is single strands so you come back later to spend on another transplant. .not only that, the chance of those grafts being damaged from being chopped up is probable. I was told by other professionals the words described is scandalous and scoundrel. Fits perfectly. He will also try to sell you a Laser cap. The lowest grade 82 bulb. I contacted Lasercap and asked what the suggested retail was for that and they said $600-$800. Dr. Anderson tried to sell this to me for $2,500. Stay away and go get other opinions. He is a guy that claims only 5% know how to restore hair and he's one of them. Not true and there are better options out there. One of the biggest scams when finding hair replacement is they oversell, telling you that you need more than you do. Take pics. Lots of pics. There is a section of your head that apprars fine and it is gone over and stabbed the heck out of and there appears to be little or no change then you threw money away. Make him take a pic of your head and draw a line on what he is working on and make sure you get a copy before any money changes hands. During the consult its all word of mouth, but if pictures are taken and lines are drawn on whats actually being worked on theres no he said she said. If i could do it all over i would have ended up doing more homework and being much happier with my results. Most importantly there's only so much donor area, and some docs dont respect that. Once its gone, its gone. Its best to chose wisely.
