Diana F Review of Hotel Juliani

My partner and I did hotel hopping in Malta in July 2020. Hotel Juliani was undoubtedly the best stop on our hotel hopping map . Once we arrived to the hotel it was still a couple of hours until the check-in time. We were greeted by a very kind receptionist with a welcome drink which was a very nice welcoming touch. After a couple of minutes our room was ready. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite featuring amazing Spinola Bay views. The room was spacious, bright and properly cleaned; so was the bathroom, where you will find high-end toiletries from L Occitane and Azzaro.
The only downside I could find was a lacking coffee machine, otherwise the room was absolutely fantastic.
In terms of service, all reception and restaurant staff was kind and helpful. There could be a tiny tad more variety for breakfast but if you fancy anything that s not on the menu, just ask and they will make it happen.
I pay a lot of attention to glassware and tableware in hotels and Hotel Juliani is my absolute winner in this regard. They serve drinks in beautiful Italian glassware, not just some rough fat cups like it was pretty much everywhere else. I give brownie points for that :-).
The hotel has a rooftop pool also featuring views over Spinola Bay. It s great to relax by the pool with a drink after the sightseeing day trip. If you come with kids that want to play around with inflatable mattresses and unicorns and run around, that rooftop area may not be the most suitable place for such activities, but if you re a couple looking to spend some relaxing time - be sure Hotel Juliani is where you will surely have it.
We initially booked the hotel for three nights but the atmosphere and the welcoming owner easily convinced us to stay longer. If we ever return to Malta, we will definitely stay in Hotel Juliani! Thank you!
