I was a guest along with a family member at this property the weekend of November 25-27. This weekend was a busy weekend for the city of New Orleans. My family member and I had reservations for a double bed room which for the weekend was $800 (a bit overpriced for the overall appearance and stay at the hotel). Upon checking in I felt we were immediately profiled because of what kind of event(s) was being held in the city. Anyhow, the font desk operator commence to inform us that our double bed we reserved would actually be a one bed room. We were not compensated in anyway for the HUGE inconvenience of being forced to sleep on a freaking roll a way bed. we were two males who didn't feel like we should have to share a bed after spending this amount of money for a weekend stay at a hotel who had no kind of amenities in the room. No refrigerator, microwave, and on the small side. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM WESTIN NEW ORLEANS, if you don't want to experience being rude to, profiled, and over charged for absolutely nothing; STAY AWAY! On Sunday, checking on the front desk operator Hadele got out of hand with my family member and was so very unprofessional that her own Supervisor scold her in front of us. I have stayed at Westin properties prior to this weekend and had "okay" experiences but this by far has shifted my outlook on any of their proprieties and will avoid staying at any of them in the future.
