After getting advice to bring my 87 yo grandmother...
After getting advice to bring my 87 yo grandmother there for her rapid dementia, I decided to take her to get a diagnosis for, eventually, LTC. Worst mistake ever!! They made her go back to the "holding cell" by herself! We couldn't go. She's 87!!!! After 2+ hours of nothing, I was told that one person could go back due to her age. 2+ hours. I went back there to check on her and she shared that she hadn't been seen and they guy who was "helping" asked HER what she was there for. I was told she was next. The nurse man, clinical guy, registrar, idk what he was asked me to come to the "office". He asked me what she was there for (even though it was on papers I filled out!). I told him about her rapid dementia and he flat out looked at me and said (After 3+ hours) that the doctors weren't accepting new patients and there were no beds. 3+ hours of my 87 year old grandmother with severe dementia, by herself, in a holding cell....and we walk out with no answers, no help. The guy tried to convince me to go to the Parthenon but I had already waited long enough for NOTHING. Find somewhere else for your elderly loved ones with dementia or mental issues. They don't care.
