Great staff both before boarding (at the Durango station) and onboard the train to Silverton. If you have a seat in the frontmost cars you should go for the enclosed carriages or else expect to be covered with soot from the steam engine. A great 2.5 hour one way ride to Silverton. A bit pricey but a good once-in-a-lifetime trip.
