Frustrated by a canceled Jet Blue flight late at night (you get what you pay for, I guess!), we booked a room at the TWA hotel. Only was there for 6 or so hours, but was totally impressed! Beautifully done, with the right amount of nostalgia and wide open spaces - a fun place to be! But, the reason for a hotel stay - the rooms, and we weren't disappointed. The absolutely best mattress of any hotel I have experienced in my 30+ years of traveling (beating the Courtyard by Marriott mattresses from years ago), a very well done bathroom with huge modern shower head, like you are in a rain storm, and very well stocked wine cooler/bar in each room (which we didn't use). The only negatives I have are that there is no fridge other than the wine cooler (but, probably most travelers don't have a cooler of food after hopping off a plane), a sliding bathroom door instead of a real door (and it was very hard to move in full open or full close), the table/desk wasn't very deep, and no in room coffee. Yes, that's 4 things, but the positives were so high, yes, I do believe it's worth 5 stars! ... and the price for the location - wow, another bonus!
