Ordered a $300 outdoor light over the phone from Lamps Plus on Friday 2/19/21. I received an email the next day Saturday 2/20/21 that my order had shipped and I would receive it by 2/25/21. I was extremely happy. Then as I kept reading the email I noticed the ship to address was Lincoln, Nebraska which was incorrect. I live in Georgia! I immediately replied to the email telling them of the major error. I called the company as well but they were closed and I was unable to leave a message. Sunday, February 21, 2021 I called Lamps Plus again and spoke with a representative who told me she would document the error on my account and notify the shipper but didn t think there would be anything they could do. I asked her then if they could just send me another order to the correct address or just simply refund my money and she told me no that I would have to wait to see if the item would be rerouted back to their warehouse. On Monday February 22, 2021 I received another email from Lamps Plus apologizing for the inconvenience but in order for me to receive a refund I would have to wait to see if the item to be rerouted back to their warehouse. I replied to the email that this was totally unacceptable and then I called them to discuss. The rep told me the same thing and I asked for a refund and he told me to dispute the charge with my credit card company.
I will NEVER order anything else from this company. The rep told me when I placed ordered that the billing credit card had to match the ship to address.
This was clearly their fault because I gave them my correct address just like I
gave them my correct credit card number. It s ironic they got the money part right!! I don t have my order coming nor do I have my $300 back either. This was the absolute worst shopping experience I have ever had. I hope the owner of this company train the staff better and always take care of the paying customers first. They should ve sent me another lamp to the correct address that I had already paid for and they should wait for the one they mailed to Nebraska to be rerouted back to them. I did my part and Lamps Plus failed to do theirs!!! No quality service whatsoever!!!
