I came here because of the high rating and the fact that it was 1 block from my hotel. I was worried because my mother is particularly picky and we had yet to find a place that we both liked. I ordered the filet with bernaise and she got the chicken - not exactly adventurous choices but both were excellent. I would have liked to try the foie gras or the snails but I was not hungry enough to eat it all myself. As for dessert I had the Vanilla bourbon Napoleon and she had the creme brulee (both yummy)! If you're looking for traditional French food with some standard choices as well, you are safe picking this place.
As for the service, it was pretty busy for a Sunday night. Our first waiter was not very friendly and disappeared after taking our dinner orders. A second waiter helped us after that and he was much more friendly and helpful. I suspect the first waiter did not care for serving Americans but the second guy was more than accommodating.
