Pulliam Pool's follow-up and warranty services are extremely lacking compared to the high quality of their pool construction.
Over a year ago, in August of 2014, we noticed a crack had developed in the gunite shell of our pool which was constructed by Pulliam in the early 1990's. This company stated that the gunite shell is warrantied for life against cracking and leaking to the original owner.
We telephoned Pulliam and arranged for one of their representatives to inspect our pool and make recommendations as how to proceed. This person made a thorough evaluation of our pool and stated that a temporarily fix would be to apply pool putty into the crack of the gunite shell to seal any leaks that may have developed. He also stated that a more permanent fix would entail a process of "stapling" reinforcement along the crack.
It was also noted at the time of his visit, that our pool should undergo renovation due to the condition of our pool surface and decking. And herein is where our problem lies with Pulliam Pools. My wife and I decided to proceed with the pool renovation process. I called Pulliam the following week to discuss this and NO ONE RETURNED MY CALL. A few days passed and I made another call to try to discuss and schedule a renovation and again NO ONE RETURNED MY CALL.
We subsequently found another company to do our pool renovation and are very pleased with the work that was done.
My advice would be to proceed with caution in your decision to do business with this company. They build a quality product, but you need to ask yourself how important it is to you in how your situation is handled should a problem arise. The DFW area is overflowing with pool contractors. Check them out. Just because you may be the oldest pool company in America as they state does not make them the best.
