Cathedral of St John the Baptist in historic downtown Savannah, was first dedicated in 1876, rebuilt after fire in 1898, and renovated multiple times, last 1998-2000.
It is very beautiful from outside and inside, with stained glass windows, and wall paintings and statues. The Altar is also very beautiful and tasty decorated.
It is open to all. Tourists can visit for free. $3 is suggested but not required. Do not miss it if in Savannah.
