I m afraid I can t reconcile the good reviews I ve read as true and assume they must be fake as it s not the experience me or most other members I have talked to have had. Like most others here I signed up on a discounted social membership requiring 2 visits a month and a minimum spend of 10/time (with a free membership), that should offer excellent value for money and I really wanted to like the place (the idea is great) BUT unfortunately it s just turned into a monthly chore making sure I do the two required visits (and I ve given it a year). The drinks are way overpriced even for London and average at best their food (again average at best) is similarly overpriced 15 for a small pizza ). All this I can cope with but the one thing you want in a private members club is good service and it s totally useless here, staff pay little attention to customers, stop serving way before closing time mid week, and are generally completely useless (especially the food staff). I assume the staff get away with this as they know people like me are in as they have to be to fulfil their minimum monthly spend not because they want to be. I m lucky enough to be a member (or previously a member) of many other London clubs and all I can advise is don t make my mistake of thinking this a a good deal - it s absolutely not and you will regret it. If you want a private members club there are so many excellent ones out there that have great staff (h club, blacks, the court, soho house, alberts.....) please don t waste your time here you will get better food / drinks and much better service in any of the surrounding pubs. There is a reason this place doesn t sit in any of the best private members clubs lists you find on the internet and that s because it s way off the pace.
