You wanna know a funny thing, I applied to UC Berkeley as a high school senior with high hopes of attending one of the best universities in the world. I had all the requirements, 4.0 gpa, wrote some of the best essays, played multiple sports, community service, sea cadets, etc... but just one thing was missing. I was "white." Yes, I saw people with much lower qualifications than me get in most likely due to ethnicity. Therefore, because I'm considered "white" I guess that made me less admirable in the college's eyes which is essentially a racist, and discriminatory action.

The recent events over the past days have confirmed that UCB has a systemic issue with the terms of "white privelege" and "white entitlement." For a school that I thought had cherished such open-minded and tolerant thinking, we have seen the exact opposite, and what's worse: the school administration tolerated it.

P.S: To put this in to perspective, can you imagine only "white" students blocking "people of color's" freedom of moment? Yeah, me neither, because they would never tolerate that. And the students would've been expelled from the UC system.

Well folks, looks like the very people that led us out of the 1950's are now taking away our civil rights and putting us right back where we were 70 years ago.
