As a Hilton Honors member, you are checked into the hotel in a seating area separate from the front desk. You give them your Honors credit card and passport and they do all the rest. I had booked an executive level king and was upgraded to a suite that had beautiful views of the city and river from both directions. My luggage and help was waiting for me once I got to the room. I opted for a neck and back massage after having spent over 24 hours between 3 flights and stopovers.
The massage was really helpful in working out the knots from carrying an oversized handbag and backpack with computer and clothes, in case my checked on baggage got lost. I enjoyed the massage which was preceded by a beautiful blue pea tea and followed by a pot of red herbal tea and 3 types of fresh melon and fruit. I enjoyed the treatment so much that I booked a 90 minute facial. Nun, the woman who did the massage, also performed the facial. I have had other facials before but what sets this one apart is the gorgeous aromas of the products and aromatherapy. Also, when others usually leave the room to let a mask dry, Nun massaged my arms and legs. I was so relaxed by the whole experience that my snoring woke me up on several occasions. Tea and fresh fruit followed again. I went to bed at 4pm and woke around 10 pm. I ordered a green papaya salad, vegetable fried rice with egg, and mango sticky rice. My wait was short and the room service guy asked me if I wanted my table set for 1 or 2 people. There was plenty of food for 2 people and I had no idea the portions would be so generous. The green papaya salad came in a beautiful presentation inside a carved out papaya. They had also asked me what level of heat I preferred when ordering. I said very hot. It waz hot and sweet and absolutely gorgeous to look at and eat as well. I devoured the whole thing. My fried rice arrived with a fried egg on top and beautiful fresh vegetables on the side and a sauce of sliced red and green peppers in what I think was a fish sauce. It was delicious. The mango sticky rice was delicious as well. I left half of the fried rice, choosing to eat the other 2 items first. Room service asked if the rice was OK when they came back to collect the dishes. It was so nice not to have to leave dishes outside in the hall. The MAGIC button on the phone for room service was always sweet and very helpful. I have never enjoyed a hotel stay more. What a way to deal with jet lag. The executive level offerings were very nice and offer a beautiful view. I would highly recommend staying here based on my one night stay.
