We've collected several estimates for a whole home standby generator system unique to our needs. Jon Wayne's estimate was absolutely outrageous!! All in, the estimate came in at over $30,000. The salesman/technician was reluctant to give us details on the various prices for equipment, parts, and labor. We persisted so he finally let us see some of the line items. Imagine our shock at the price of $5500 for a 6ft long trench for a gas line that would only be 6 inches wide and 8 inches deep!

The other estimates we've received have been consistent with one another at between $10,000 - $12,000. Both contractors provided us with detailed and itemized line-by-line estimates of the cost of ALL equipment, parts and labor. There was no mystery, no hidden costs and no $5500 trenches.

Shame on Jon Wayne! Their bid was nothing short of opportunistic - especially now that families are fervently considering generators post Freezeilla 2021.
