My partner and I celebrated our 9th Year Anniversary in Makati Shangri-la (April 30, 2019, overnight stay).

Booking over the phone was a breeze.

I had to call the day prior to my check-in date to request for an early check-in if possible at 12noon.

Jasmine of front office was kind enough to ask me if there will be an occassion to celebrate with, and I told her that my partner and I will be celebrating our 9th year anniversary. She politely told me to check back in morning of April 30 if our early check-in request will be granted, but she assured me that my request was well noted.

April 30, we arrived at 2pm instead of 12noon as we decided to have our lunch outside the hotel first. The facade of the hotel was on point, it was situated right at the heart of the bustling Makati City. Shopping malls are literally right in front of your eyes. Security check was provided before we head on to the parking area (parking was complimentary when you stay overnight). Parking was spacious and clean. Another security check with our luggage and purses as soon as we enter the lobby. The interior of the lobby was very elegant and grandeur, felt like a million bucks as we approach the lobby area heading towards the front office/reception to check-in.

Check in process was swift and easy.
Bryant, who assisted us was a charm and was very friendly and attentive. He offered a room upgrade if we wanted to have an access to the Horizon Club, we refused for we have other plans for the day. But it was really good customer service for he has the initiative to offer room and facilities upgrade for better first hand experience.

When we entered the room, we were like "Oh wow!" amazing room, very spacious with complete bathroom and room amenities (toiletries in the bathroom although there was no bidet, bathrobes, extra pillow, iron and ironing board, safety deposit box, mini bar with goodies inside for an additional fee, linens, towels, bathtub, writing desk, mini receiving area, LED TV with Cable Channels, and the million dollar view of the city!)
To top it all, there was a complimentary cake and bottle of wine as their way of extending their greetings to us for our 9th year anniversary! What an awesome surprise! You guys really are the best!

Swimming pool - how do I begin... Awesome, really awesome... It was like we had our own private swimming pool for we are the only ones in there. Staff in the pool area was helpful enough to provide us with towels and assisted us to our sunbed. We went there for a night swim by the way.

Fitness Center -- I was excited to learn that their health club/fitness center is open 24 hours a day! World class fitness equipments, with free flowing water and coffee. The staff inside the fitness center was very helpful too and friendly as well.

BREAKFAST -- It was HEAVEN! After around 30-minutes work out, we headed towards CIRCLES to dine and indulge on their buffet breakfast. It was out of this world, the buffet was more than what we ever imagined. The spread was crazy plenty to the point that you do not even know where to start :)
Pastries and bread were all fresh, fruits were freshly squeezed and sliced. From Japanese, to Italian, to American, to Asian Cuisine for breakfast! I mean, it was really awesome crazy and will surely promote this to all my friends and family of course. F&B staff and managers were all attentive, friendly and helpful. I just love their freshly brewed coffee! (Now, I wanna go back again and stay!)

We were granted a late check out considering that the occupancy was not that high. Again, super mega thank you for granting this request for we were able to rest for a little longer.

Overall, awesome stay, felt like gold staying in this luxurious 5-star Hotel.

Makati Shangri-La Hotel Staff are all gem! Customer Service at its finest!

You have to experience to know what I mean. This is the deal that literally worth every peso that you will spend!
