I went here in 2014 when I was in 9th grade. The adolescent unit is very small; basically it was just a hallway with a group room at the end. I was given multiple medicines, though I have a lot of fear about taking pills without knowing the side effects. When I explained this and said I wouldn t take them without getting to research them, the woman working behind the counter just scoffed at me and still wouldn t explain what they did. Other than that and all the forced religion stuff, everything was fine until the second to last day I was there. One of the kids had a panic attack, which had a ripple effect. All the people there with ptsd also began having panic attacks. The floor was severely understaffed, and in the end my roommate and I (the only ones not having a total meltdown) were asked to help calm the other patients down and get them to their rooms.

Definitely didn t get any better while I was there, but I solved a lot of puzzles and now I have an intense fear of being trapped in a small place with several people. Thanks!
