This is from a business traveler. The location of this hotel is excellent. There is good public transit and lots of shopping and restaurants. There is a big homeless problem in the area, but staffing and security is sufficient in the hotel. Expensive valet at $46 was available. Overnight indoor parking 2 blocks away was $28. Outdoor 24 hour parking 5 blocks away was $10.

The hotel has an expensive onsite restaurant I did not sample. It has an attached Starbucks.

Rooms were on the smaller side. The decor was quaint like one would expect from a boutique hotel. My room was not sparkling clean like you would expect from a Westin style hotel. There was a musky odor throughout the 10th floor. In other words, the rooms are well overdue for a flooring replacement. Room had old smaller flat screen incapable of networking with phone or bluetooth device. Work area was sufficient in size for a laptop, but you will get on your hands and knees to plug it in. Linens were okay except for nasty smelling decorative pillow. Bed was a full that had seen it's better days. HVAC sounded like a door opened every time the compressor kicks on. Room had safe, robe, and k cup coffee machine, but no microwave.

Amenities are okay. The lobby is beautiful. The pool is small but clean. The workout area has bike, elliptical, decent treadmill, weight machines, resistance bands, bench, but no area for yoga or similar exercises. Machines are dated. TVs did not all work. Overall decent workout area. Wifi was $15 plus a day. No thank you.

Internet was not included nor was breakfast. I did not think this was a good value. Picky people might rate the room itself a 1. Maybe there are modernized rooms at the same hotel? I think the high rating for this place is questionable as I do not believe I am very picky.
