One of the largest construction projects of modern Greece, the continuation of the Ionian Highway, connects Western Solidarity with the Peloponnese. The bridge is also named after Charilaos Trikoupis in honor of the Greek politician who envisioned it a century ago, is almost 3km long and built by a well-known French company.
