Raffles Makati is a luxury hotel featuring boutique full-service suites, private residence suites, and is connected to the Fairmont Makati property. I have had the pleasure of staying in both the hotel and residences suites at this Raffles property (and at the Fairmont) and can wholeheartedly say that this is the BEST hotel in Makati for either short-term or long-term stays.

The Junior Suite is tastefully styled with a touch of old-world classic charm with a modern touch. The room has a separate dining and living room area which is easy to use as a work / small meeting space. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom was stunning. The 1BR & 2BR Residence Suites I stayed in are nicely decorated (albeit not as stunning as the hotel suites) and well-designed for longer-term stays. The large bathroom, full kitchen and in-suite laundry are essential for when I am staying on extended business trips. Internet connectivity is fast making it easy to connect remotely to my office.

Guests have access to both a private Raffles pool and to the Fairmont pool and fitness facilities. The Raffles pool area is like an oasis that I look forward to going to after a long day at work!

And while the rooms and facilities of this property are indeed top-notch, it is the amazing staff that makes this hotel exceptional! Everyone from the butlers, to the front desk staff, to hosts in the Writer's Bar, always greet you with a friendly smile and address you by name. Hostesses Kaye and Grace at the Writer's Bar always remember my tea and beverage preferences and are quick to offer me a cup of Earl Grey tea in the morning or a glass of Spicy Mango Chelada in the evening. Make sure you have high tea at least once during your stay! At Mireio, the hotel's French restaurant, hostess Meiji always welcomes me with a warm smile, greets me by name and brings me to my favourite table. Server Michael is always attentive and is quick to offer me a glass of freshly squeezed juice and to make suggestions based on my meal preferences. Amazing service!

I come to Manila quite often for business and my stays range from 5 to 15 days. Raffles is definitely my #1 choice. Whether staying in the hotel or residence suites, you simply cannot go wrong here. The staff truly go out of their way to make you feel at home. I have stayed at other nearby top-tier hotels but nothing compares to the charm and service of Raffles. And as much as I do miss home when I am traveling for work, I can't help but always look forward to my next stay at Raffles Makati.
