Horrible experience from start to finish. I'm not even sure if this place deserves to be called a hospital. I am not from Washington, but we were visiting family. I possibly was having an ectopic pregnancy, which was my reason for being there First of all, I have AHCCSS (AZ Medicaid), and the girl at registration wasn't sure how to process the insurance. . It took 4 hours to just get my blood drawn. The flabotomists didn't know how to draw blood (they weren't drawing from the right areas). It took another 3 hours to get called in, and within 5 minutes the PA was telling me the urine results of a urine sample I had not yet given! Then they did an ultrasound (@ 11:15 pm) and said it would take between 45 min and an hour and 15 minutes. Three hours later we got tired of waiting and asked for the discharge papers without knowing about the radiology results, when the PA told me that it was their fault for at least 2 hours of the wait because my results were never sent to the hospital radiologist and that they had gone home at midnight! So without asking me, they sent them to a radiologists center in Seattle, and said that they would call me with the results. As we were walking out, the PA runs down the hall to tell me they just received the results and everything was okay. And, just when I thought the nightmare was over, I return home and receive two Bill's totaling over $900. My insurance plan covers out-of-state emergency room visits. So now I will have to call both the hospital that I never wanted to deal with again and my insurance compant to try to straighten things up! If you have the choice, just drive to Seattle for any health care you may need. This "hospital" was very disorganized and all of their staff members lacked the empathy and concern for their patients that any other true hospital has.
