Nice hotel, right smack in the hustle and bustle of Georgetown, although is was opened in 1986, it was recently spruced up, very nicely, new rooms, new ambiance, we stayed at the 12th floor, and did not hear any renovation, knocking noise whatsoever.

The room is recently spruced up and everything is very clean. There is really nothing much you can critic about it unless you really want to nit pick!

Service wise, the people there are great, and they do go great lengths to help with giving information in a genuine and sincere manner. The telephone operator even called back to follow up on our request, and upon hearing that our request has yet to arrive, she commit to make sure what we wanted turned up!

The other great thing is the wifi, there is no connectivity issue, and once you're in the hotel compound, it connects seamlessly. and the advertisement is true, it is FAST. There are plenty of plugs and USB charging points, so bring as many gadgets and usb cables as you can carry!

The other great thing is the free bus service to Golden Sands at Batu Ferringhi. the bus is generally quite empty, but just to be sure, place a booking with the front desk. for the return trip, you can choose to drop at Gurney instead and make you way back after that.

The only down side, which personally is not a bummer to me, is the Sofa bed, DO NOT ATTEMPT to fix it yourself, get the room service guys to do it. The sofa bed is quite hard, and mine was a little uneven.

Overall, it is a great place to stay, and the real gem of Jen is the superb location, you can never run out of food, fun and shopping!
