One of the most surreal landscapes in the country, with many acres of cascading dunes, the highest of which is around 750 feet high (tallest dune in America). There are other sand dunes, but none can compare with the beautiful backdrop of the San Juan Mountains. Definitely a place to visit at least once in your life.
