Contacted this company, regarding a position as a receptionist, for a medispa, was makeup and clothing had to be impecable. I then revealed to her my past experience consist of national makeup artist, counter manager at a department store here in town for a major cosmetic line. Then she asked me if i volunteered for anything, i also revealed my volunteer experience. Then this "career specialist" with a snotty attitude told me that i dont have the qualifications to be considered for the position!!!...well i dont normally play this card, with race. Because it is a touchy subject. That's exactly what it is, just that...being African American, she assumed i didn't know how to dress or put on my makeup.
