I stayed at the Inn at Reading for many years in The Executive Quarters for the Berks Jazz Fest. I always had a wonderful stay. I was unable to get a reservation for the Executive rooms this year and am disappointed to report my recent stay was horrible. The 1st room had a disgusting matress that should be thrown out (blood, urine and sweat stains). If the housekeeping and management staff would keep a mattress in this condition in use, than what other things are not being addressed properly. It concerns me that the mattress could be flipped to hide unsanitary conditions.

The 2nd room assigned was also in need of repair. The entry into the C building and rooms are old, musky and in need of serious updates. There was also trash outside the door (entry 7).

The Berks Jazz Fest draws a large tourist population and The Inn at Reading sees a lot of guests and artists for this event. After this experience unless improvements are made I'll never stay here again.
