It was a really great experience. You can experience the true wilderness.

We were here for 3 nights and explored whatever we could:
We reaced at around 2 pm and directly went for
1) sled dog show
2) horseshoe lake trail: just a small lake. Casual stroll. Has a bit of elevation to get back.

Day 2:
Wonder lake: takes 5 hours to go by bus and 5 hours to get back. So take the earliest bus out which is at 6:15 and 6:45 am. Tickets sell out fast. So book early online.

Thorofare trail at eieleson center: We did this quick hike as the weather was cloudy and we did not see much at wonder lake. Without the relfection of the Mt Denali, it is just a regular lake. The trail is strenous but we did it in 2.5 hours.

Day 3:
Savage alpine hike. Got a really good view of Mt Denali. Was amazing to see a huge snow clad mountain rising in midst of small mountains. We were lucky with clear skies today.

Savage river loop: really good stroll. Safe for kids and old folks. Really straight and simple.

Wild life spotted multiple times: Bears(mamma bear with its cubs) caribou, Moose, Birds. Close encounter eith a fox on one of the trails.
