The work performed by Sill-Terhar Motors service department was fine. The overall experience was only OK. I was told that my vehicle's service would probably be completed in one day but there was a possibility that it would need to be kept for a second day. I dropped my car off on Saturday for a 7:30am Monday morning appointment. Monday came and went with no communication from the Service Department. I contacted them on Tuesday afternoon and they were not sure of my vehicle's status. There was a bit of phone tag and they had apparently not even started the work on my vehicle. They told me that I might not be able to pick up the car until Wednesday. Wednesday afternoon I received an email notifying me that the work had been completed. I really liked this email. It was a great way to communicate clearly. The overall failure to communicate status during the service session and possible casual attitude about completing the work in a timely manner while I had no alternate transportation were not impressive. I will probably try out a different Ford dealership the next time I need a repair or factory-authorized service.
