Stopped for breakfast while on the way up highway ...

Stopped for breakfast while on the way up highway 1. Not much as far as regular breakfast fare goes, so I ordered biscuits and gravy. Server came back about 10 minutes later to let me know they were out. Ended up just having coffee while my wife ate. The server was polite, but hard to understand how you run out of biscuits (or gravy) on a sunday morning.
