Being inexplicably accident-prone, coming from a large family, and working with seniors means that I ve seen more than my fair share of hospitals ERs in particular.

I accompanied a friend this past April and couldn t believe how professional & pleasant the nursing staff was. My friend is older and has a lot of health problems, and the CTMC staff worked through everything efficiently to try to find out what was going on, as quickly as possible.

Again, I ll reiterate that I ve seen A LOT of ERs in the area (and elsewhere) and have *never* seen such nice nurses and techs. From the intake desk to the checkout, it was an optimal ER experience. Our nurse Bobby was *The Best! He really put my friend at ease, and made the whole process seem less stressful + explained the findings in layman s terms for us.

*Additionally, he is STILL the only medical person that even knows what my severe allergy is, and just how prevalent it is in medicines: pills, creams, etc. and gels: sanitizers, procedural stuff, etc. (kinda important when going to the hospital or doc's office!) Elsewhere in the past year... I've had other doctors, nurses, and pharmacists (that were instructed to compound my prescriptions WITHOUT this ingredient) repeatedly expose me to it: despite verbal reminders, being on file, in my paperwork, and on my medical alert bracelets, etc. I've actually had to get a medical tattoo big enough for them to not "miss it."

Seriously, I was so impressed with this ER that I ll ask to be transported from Austin, Kyle, New Braunfels, or anywhere else in Central Texas, if the need arises. (And I can only hope that it would happen to be during Bobby's shift!)

Update:

I recently went to get a mammogram at CTMC. Before the appointment, Leslie called to set it up and was very helpful in directing me to additional Women's Health options. (I am looking for a new doctor & have been 0 for 2 in this area, so far.)

When I got there for the appointment, every person I came into contact with was so friendly and helpful. There was no wait time to speak of, and they made sure I knew what to expect, etc. The facilities are very nice, clean, and welcoming. To Leslie, Cheryl, Tracy, and everyone else whose names I don't recall: thank you for having such a great "bedside manner." Y'all rock!

Again, I'll reiterate that this is where I want to go if I have a choice.
