6 months ago, was shopping around for a certified used c300. They had one in inventory, but w/o certification. The price was reasonable though. So went there and talked with the sales representative. Tommy ( I believe) was nice and then I decided to purchase the vehicle. The car was for my wife and she was not comfortable with a used car w/o warranty. Therefore, I asked for the manufacturer warranty and I was told that it would be taken care off.

It was a busy day and waited over 2+ hours just to talk to the finance guy. When I was about to sign the purchase contract, the warranty turned out to be 2 years one from fidelity (other than the MB one). The finance guy tried to play the trick by telling me it's a 3 year warranty (he added the residual 6+ months warranty to the 2 years) for like $3300 before tax. I got suspicious and called my friend and asked for his opinion. My friend didn't recommend it. All of a sudden, the finance guy turned threatening and even said something like "why do you trust your friend"? I still didn't wanna buy the warranty. Then he offered two maintenance services A+B which he claimed to be worth $1500 (I later googled and knew it was BS). Was tired and with kid, so I said OK. Went back home and realized immediately that I overpaid. Honestly, the overall experience, other than the warranty purchase, was good. The sales guy even turned on the demo to get my son occupied. Unfortunately, the warranty purchase ruined the whole experience.

Left it behind my mind. But a few days ago, went to another closer MB dealer for my service. Somehow, the topic got to the warranty. And the first comment was "wow, the warranty was expensive". And so I decided to write about this. Anyway, the car was decent. But just be careful, if you wanna buy a used car with extended warranty.
