Not much for teenage kids to do. Would be good for kids under 5. Also, staff could be much more customer service oriented and friendly. We had a problem with our reservation and were told that for our troubles, we would be upgraded at check in if available by 'wanda' . Of course, not available but not even mentioned or anything else offered. Our phone in the room was broken the whole time , (we told them twice) and it never got fixed. Breakfast was expensive and just ok. (small buffet) Pool is loaded with little kids and the deck is extremely slippery. We couldnt even find a chair. So, we left the kids and went to the adult pool..... much nicer. Lobby under construction the whole time we were there I think they are putting in a big fish tank. (just returned 7/3/15) and they were also painting the hall and it smelled like paint. It was half painted during our entire stay. There was also a foul odor in the downstairs hallway. Wifi is horrible. Dont count on it if you NEED it.
If they tell you the conditions for their snorkle trip are "not ideal" ...dont go! We felt like we were snorkling in a wave pool. Only worse. And, the reef was just ok. (go to Pennicamp state park instead and do the underwater Jesus trip)
On a positive note, the tennis courts were very nice and nobody was on them. Maybe because it was 100 degrees! And, they were FREE.
We did fishing trip out of Robbies on Islamarada....that was a pretty cool place to visit. Caught lots of fish with our captain Brian.
At Hawks Cay you can not swim in the open water at all. We went in a bit and got told that they would call the police if we did not get out. Yes, they have signs posted but we really wanted some water that a million little kids were not 'swimming' in. LOL No snorkling right off the hotel anywhere.
Cant speak on the Dolphins....we did not do it and did not see anyone doing it. I have heard that there is another place close by that is better but dont know for sure.
