First Sales: I came in looking for a very specific Tacoma. I wanted a Magnetic Gray Long Bed Off Road with the Technology Package. The salesman told me that the Long bed and color combo was very rare and there weren't any on the ground at any dealer close enough to transfer it in, and that I would have to select something else or wait 3-4 months for the factory to build one. He then tried to sell me a Limited, a different color or a short bed Tacoma. They then told me that my transmission on my trade in was failing. I found this surprising since I just drove it from Texas to Utah without issue. I asked them to show me and while in the parking lot the sales rep floored the gas pedal at which time I felt a thud in the front in. I hadn't noticed it before because I dont floor my 4 cylinder Accord. The key thing is, it didn't feel like a transmission issue, but a motor mount failing. I took it in and sure enough it was a motor mount, that only cost about $150, not the several hundred a new transmission would've cost. Thankfully I decided to wait and look elsewhere. 3 days after leaving Mark Miller I found one 30 minutes up the road in Orem, Utah. Turns out the Dealer just lied to me.

Service: I scheduled an appointment to have my new Tacoma undercoated for additional sound proofing and more importantly corrosion prevention. While scheduling my appointment I let them know I'd need a loaner or rental, at the time I was transferred to service rep, but got a voicemail. I left a message and never received a call back. I then called back to ensure that I'd have a loaner or rental available, at which time it wouldn't be an issue and to let the service rep know when I showed up. This morning I drive 35 minutes to the dealership for my appointment at which time I request a loaner or rental again. I was told I should've called ahead, at which time I let him know I did call ahead. I had to go to work so I had to leave and take my truck without getting the work done.

I've dealt with this dealership twice and both instances was lied to and had my time wasted due to their complete lack of effort...I'll drive an hour to Orem before I ever go back to Mark Miller Toyota for anything, service or sales.
