Ain Shams University is the third oldest Egyptian university, founded in July 1950 under the name of Ibrahim Pasha University.
She participated with Cairo University (formerly, Fuad I University) and Alexandria University (formerly Farouk I University) in completing the mission of the Egyptian universities and containing the increasing demand for higher education.
