Years ago I purchased an expensive frame (Santa Cruz blur) from the shop. Sadly after only two years it broke. The shop quickly warrantied it and I was good to go; until this time it developed a crack in the frame. At least we caught it before it broke thru again. I asked the shop to warranty it again. The problem was this time it was out of warranty by two years or so. I explained to the owner (Todd) that I hadn't been riding in quite a few years, had just started back and this was the second time the frame had a problem. Even though the shop owed me nothing, they agreed to sell me a new frame at cost and move the parts for free (which they did). I'm not suggesting if things go out of warranty they will always do this, but I can say that there's a good chance they would be willing to talk it thru with you to find a viable solution. Todd, I didn't expect the support, but again greatly appreciate what you've done. Tyler (shop manager), I would also like to thank you for doing a great job with the bike and for working closely with me too.
