Our visit was very disappointing and we regretted the money we spent for admission. (It was so expensive, even with the military discount that we got!) The interaction with the Natives was informative and interesting, but the interaction with the "Pilgrim" actors was awkward and even kind of annoying. It was very difficult to draw any kind of information out of them and, with the exception of one actor, they didn't seem to enjoy being there or interacting with the visitors. There was such an odd feel there, and we didn't learn or experience much. Many of the demonstrations (weaving, etc.) we're closed, even though it was fairly early in the day. The woman at the pottery demonstration was downright rude. The eating place said they could not cook anything even though we went there long before closing. The "movie" was not interesting at all, and was more like a series of slides. We did enjoy touring the grist mill in town, but thought the overall ticket price should have been discounted since the Mayflower 2 (which is supposed to be part of the experience) was not there to be seen. (It is out for restoration.) Overall it was an overpriced, disappointing day. Maybe our experience was the exception, but we didn't think it was worth it at all. We would not go again.
