I'm sad to see reviews where people said they didn...

I'm sad to see reviews where people said they didn't enjoy their stay at The Standard. We had such an amazing experience I didn't want it to end.

I understand The Standard is more of a touristy hotel and it's in the heart of the meatpacking district where all the clubs, bars and awesome nightlife takes place but as someone from NYC -- Sometimes we just like getting away from it all and checking into a local hotel and feel like a tourist. Just for a day, or two.

When we got to the hotel they were super helpful and accommodating. We really wanted a room a with a tub and not a shower stand -- including facing the Hudson. They gave us all. Everything we asked for, they were able to provide.

Our room was small but surprisingly spacious. A large king sized bed with a table, chair and couch. Definitely roomy. The bathroom had the tub and a large window facing the bed. I found that cute and sexy.

We ordered room service more than once. They did have a high delivery charge including having to tip the guys who brought it up. I think there should be a different system for that especially if people order room service more than once.

Our experience there was beyond amazing. It was the best break I could have gotten and really glad The Standard was able to provide me all that I wanted.

I'll be back sometime.
