ate at the Stoned Crab with my boyfriend. We are down in Florida for our anniversary and Wednesday night was our first night in Key West so we wanted something good and local for dinner. After 7 minutes of being seated by the hostess we had not even been greeted yet by the waiter. My boyfriend said that the waiter had 5 more minutes before we were going to get up and leave but I was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. A waitress came and took our drink order with 1 minute to spare. That's 11 minutes without even knowing who was waiting on us. About 5 minutes after asking for a drink a waiter came up and said he would be taking over because "we don't like to keep our customers waiting". He wasn't even informed that we had ordered a drink so we had to reorder it. Another 5 minutes before we had received it. I understand a wait if it was an alcoholic beverage, however, it was one coke. At this point even I was getting upset. We were finally able to place an order. We ordered the calamari appetizer and each a lobster linguini. When the drinks ran out the waiter would tell us "I'll get you a refill in a few minutes when I can". No big deal if it was in the middle of rush but it wasn't busy at all. He took his sweet time bringing out the refills. He then comes back 15 minutes after we ordered and tells us that someone in the kitchen has messed up our order and was going to send the appetizer at the same time as our meals. We wanted to order alcohol since it was our anniversary to celebrate but were afraid it would take until we were done eating to be brought to us. When we finally got the food, it was only mediocre compared to the annoyances and inconveniences leading up to it. Not once were we checked on during the whole time it took to eat to make sure everything was ok. I almost had to get up and go to the front counter to pay my check because the waiter was nowhere to be found. He finally shows up and I had to get up anyway to pay because his tablet signal didn't reach our table. We were almost too afraid to ask for a box for fear that we wouldn't get it. Our meal # was 6671 the meal cost $91.15 and it was, without a doubt, the WORST dining experience that I have ever had in my life. It absolutely ruined our anniversary. I don't normally complain but this was just all around pitiful and so much more than disappointing.
