On a trip to Rome with your children you have to spend at least a day for them - so we decided to go to the Zoo. It was heavily crowded on that sunday - now i know where all Romans go to on a sunny sunday. But the zoo himself was a little bit a disappointment. I have seen many better ones. Funny things like just one narrow way up the platform to the giraffes for up- and downtraffic. Overcrowded pick-nick-stations and shops. Many animals only visible through a small place with a glass between ppl and the animals - where it's obviously not necessary. And ppl selling balloons in front of the zoo - and it's not allowed to take them in. Try to explain that to your 3 yrs old daughter?!

btw: hard to find the real entrance to the zoo - so plan some extra time an km to get there.
