Total E & P Angola is among the 5th largest energy producers in the world, installed in five continents, with operations in more than 130 countries. It is one of the most important subsidiaries of the French group that operates here in Angola; and Total began operations in 1952-1953, when it received the first concession, on the Angolan onshore and offshore - Kwanza Basin and Lower Congo Basin. Today, Total E & P Angola is present in the most prolific areas of the country, and has around 1,700 employees. The combination of perseverance, dedication and commitment, both technological and human resources quickly led to the acquisition of offshore projects (1980) and shortly afterwards in deep offshore (1992). Currently, Total E & P Angola - the country's 1st oil company - already has projects in the pre-salt (Kwanza Basin), which proves its capacity to respond to the objectives for which it is proposed.
