The good: Lobby is beautiful. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Lots of places to eat within walking distance. Nice city view from our 11th story room.
The bad: The rooms are in desperate need of upgrading. I expected a hotel that brands itself as a 4-star, luxury hotel to have very nice rooms, but they were average: normal hotel sheets, normal bed, small bathroom and shower. We were most surprised to find there was no Smart TV. Only one bedside lamp for a king bed. No water bottles in the room (though when we called the desk they had some sent up.) Parking is either valet or in the mall garage parking across the street, but either way be prepared to pay to park.
The ugly: There were places in the bathroom you could tell they had done repairs and simply cut and patched small sections of wallpaper. The sink was held up with 2x4s with wallpaper not finished well. Basically it seemed old and piecemeal, not luxurious. Our shower drain was partially clogged, so the water built up as you showered. The hotel mask policy didn t seem to be enforced as large parties stood around the lobby unmasked whenever we passed through.
Husband and I weren t interested in any of the extra amenities the hotel had to offer, just a nice night s stay in a nice hotel after a day in the city. Our stay was just ok. Wish we had either spent more for a nicer hotel or less and stayed at a 2-star hotel that would have had the same quality of room.
